Our Little Girl not so little anymore Cont...

Our Little Girl not so little anymore

I remember the cry in the operating room, the doctor saying its a girl, 8 pounds 2oz. I had always dreamed of having a girl so I could have a relationship with her like I have with my mom. I remember seeing my beautiful angel sent from above for the first time. Two beautiful eyes, two little ears to hear my voice, one little nose, one little mouth to kiss, and two little hands to hold. I remember just holding her not letting her go. I remember her first smile, her first bath, her first tooth, playing dress up with her, her first baby food, her first crawl, and her first step. The time has flown by, and now my little Emily Jane is not so little anymore, she is one years old. She is walking everywhere! Talking, saying mommy and daddy. Singing, clapping, and lauging. Now we are making new memeories and moments that we will never forget. She is our precious angel, and our beautiful little girl. God has truly blest us more than we could ever imagine.

Disney Vacation 2010

Our disney vacation was so much fun! The kids had a great time. We got to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody. We went to the magic kingdom at midnight and rode all the rides! We went to the Richard Driving Experience and Joshua got to see nascar cars and get in one of them. We met Chip and Dale at the campfire and saw fireworks. We went swimming alot and played putt-putt golf, Joshua's favorite. Here are some pictures:

"Oh, Be Careful Little Eyes What You See"

When Joshua was one years old I started to teach him to praise Jesus in the car with the music we listen to, and now Emily at the age of one is watching with her little eyes how to praise Jesus. In the car the other day,Emily started to raise her hand and wave it in the air when we said to praise Jesus. She sings to the worship music. It is amazing to me that all of us have a sinful nature but in the same manner, all of us have a spiritual nature. I am truly blest to have two wonderful children, and how I take for granted each moment to pour my life and Jesus in them.

Unforgettable Moments

Two wonderful kids and two unforgettable moments.
As I was rocking Emily to bed, she sat up and looked at me with her tired eyes and opened her month and gave me a kiss, then she put her head back down and went to sleep. I will never forget that moment!

Joshua and I were eating dinner at the table, daddy was running late from work. I was wearing a tank top, my hair looking crazy, and my eyes looking very tired, and Joshua all of sudden looks at me and says "mommy I like your shirt." "You are very pretty mommy." My heart danced, leaped, and smiled. What an unforgettable moment!!!! They are truly God moments. God giving me and showing his love.

Hospital, Here We are AGAIN!

On Sunday, February 14th we were getting ready for church and giving each other our valentine gifts, when Woody started to feel pain in his chest and stomach. He had had this before, but this time it was worse. Thus, begins our journey in the hospital. Six hours in the ER, we waited on a bed in the hallway of the ER. They finally found a room for us. Woody had gallstones that had gotten in his pancreas and caused this pain. He needed surgery, but he had to wait until his pancreas went down so they had to starve him. No food or drink for days. He handled it really well. Finally, the day is here for the surgery. It is Tuesday evening, and they are in his room ready to take him to surgery, and I find out that the insurance does not cover the doctor who is about to do the surgery. Everything was canceled. By God's grace, there was another doctor who was still there that evening that was on our insurance. Wednesday, at 4:30 in the afternoon, Woody finally gets the surgery that he needs. Thursday afternoon, we finally get to go home, home sweet home.

We give praise and all the glory to God. He is our Healer, our Hope, our Comfort, and our Peace. He worked out all the details and took care of Woody every step of the way. God truly knows best and we have learned to wait for His timing. God is faithful, and our Great Shepherd. Thank you for all our family and friends, who poured out their love to us. We are overwhelmed with all your love and kindness. Thank you for all your prayers. We love you all.

Our Handsome Boy

Driving to work everyday and back has turned into such a blessing for me. I will turn on Chris Tomlin or Casting Crowns, or even some of Joshua's Cd's, and he will raise his hands up in the air and say, "praise Jesus, mommy." So Joshua and I drive all the way to work praising Jesus most of the days. What a memory to have that my son understands in his own way how to praise Jesus and he does it from his heart. Every since he was one years old, I taught him to lift up his hands and I would say, "praise Jesus, Joshua." Still to this day, at three years old, he remembers to praise Jesus. The things of God really do make an eternal impact.
I also am so blessed to be Joshua's teacher this year at school. It is amazing at all he has learned. In the car I will hear him say his Bible verses, and sing some of the Bible songs we learn in class. He can say the Lord's Prayer all by himself too. Again, I am just amazed how teaching your child about God and sharing God's Word with them, truly does leave an eternal imprint on their lives and on their hearts. We love our son very much. he has brought us so much laughter and smiles to our lives.
